ENTERTAINMENT: Nollywood’s Adedimeji Lateef speaks on death.

Lateef Adedimeji

Multi-talented Nollywood star and Airtel ambassador, Adedimeji Lateef, has in a new Instagram post, talked about death. The actor points out the fact that no one is indispensable, noting that people might remember your death maybe once a year or when the stumble upon something you must have written.

He sums it all up by saying that “We are like a grain of sand at the seashore. Without us, life goes on. Like nothing ever happened.”

He posted the message on Friday morning on Instagram, read below:

“My Dear Friend, I have few words for you and myself . You’re just one person. Each of us is just one person. Just another guy out of millions. Don’t overestimate yourself. We are not as important as the world makes us feel. We are not as priceless. We are not indispensable. No matter how much we wished it was, the world does not revolve around us. The world will be just fine without us. And when we die, they might cry for three days, but in some weeks we fade away. Like we were never there.
“Those whom we once were their best friends would have other best friends. They can’t help it. We can’t help it.
So you see, no matter how long we are here, no matter what we do… Someday we’re gone. And nobody notices. They’ll remember us maybe once a year. Or when they stumble across the things we wrote. And later they too will be gone.
“And if we’re lucky, our works may live longer. Few people will know our name but not like they give a hook. Everyone will be too busy having fun with whoever is around them. And, we never existed.

“We are like a grain of sand at the seashore. Without us, life goes on. Like nothing ever happened.”

Ogbesusi Oluwaseun Eunice HNMC/18/020

The allegation of extortion against  Former Senator, Shehu Sani by the anti-graft agency (EFCC) has generated reactions from Nigerians nationwide.

Recall that Sani was accused by the anti-graft agency for collecting money from Sani Dauda, owner of ASD Motors.

The allegation report revealed that the Former Senator promised to pass the money to the acting chairman of EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, to influence an investigation, and also allegedly asking for more money to bribe the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN), Ibrahim Tanko and some other judges to influence the outcome of a court case.

The crossfire between EFCC and Shehu has generated mixed feelings from Nigerians who took to their respective social media handles to express their concern.

According to a Facebook user, Temitope Balogun, he accused the anti-graft agency of doing everything within their capacity to shun criticism from influential citizens, citing the example of illegal detention of the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore.

“I think Shehu is innocent, it’s so obvious that Buhari and his cohort, EFCC, are doing everything within their capacity to shun criticism from influential Nigerians. Sowore’s case is a vivid example” he said.

While reacting to the ongoing allegation, one Ajoke Olatunji on Instagram decries the thriving state of false allegations in the country from law enforcement agencies without the provision evidence to back up their claims.

“So pitiful how we got to this stage, law enforcement agencies are now disobedient to court orders, their allegations are baseless and it lacks evidence” she said.

However, the accused Former Senator, Shehu Sani, in his response to the allegation says the allegations of ‘extortion’ against me is baseless, fact-less, unfounded, hollow and unsubstantial.
